Association for Written Language and Literacy

AWLL home

The Association for Written Language and Literacy (AWLL) seeks to advance the study of written language by facilitating communication and cooperation between researchers with diverse interests in writing research, primarily within Europe but also all around the world.
AWLL members reflect a wide range of research perspectives, including the fields of theoretical, historical and computational linguistics, psycholinguistics and language acquisition and education.

AWLL organizes an international workshop on writing every two years, and a selection of the workshop papers are published as regular special issues of the Written Language and Literacy journal.
